Today i.e on 15.07.2026, a short while ago, Susanta Mallick, RI , Sirijhuli Circle, Gunupur Tahasil, Dist-Rayagada has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe Rs 25,000/- from an applicant for submitting favourable enquiry report in a mutation case and facilitating issuance of ROR ( Land Patta) of his ancestral land in his favour. The applicant had applied online as per the rules of Govt. in R&DM Department for the aforesaid purpose and deposited requisite fees. But, accused RI Sri Mallick was delaying the process for no reason. Instead, accused RI Sri Mallick demanded bribe Rs.25,000/-. This tempted the applicant (Complainant) to report the matter to vigilance authorities alleging harassment by Sri Mallick. Following this, today, a team of Odisha Vigilance nabbed Sri Mallick while taking bribe Rs. 25,000/- from the complt in his office room.The entire tainted bribe money Rs.25,000/- has been recovered from the possession of accused Sri Mallick and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations linked to Sri Mallick, RI from DA angle.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No 16/2026, U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Mallick, RI. Detailed report follows.

ଆଜି ଅର୍ଥାତ୍ ୧୫.୦୭.୨୦୨୬ ରେ, କିଛି ସମୟ ପୂର୍ବେ, ସୁଶାନ୍ତ ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍, ରେଭେନ୍ୟୁ ଇନ୍ସପେକ୍ଟର (ଆର.ଆଇ.), ସିରିଝୁଲି ସର୍କଲ୍, ଗୁଣୁପୁର ତହସିଲ୍, ଜିଲ୍ଲା-ରାୟଗଡ଼ା ଜଣେ ଆବେଦନକାରୀଙ୍କଠାରୁ ୨୫,୦୦୦ ଟଙ୍କା ଘୁସ୍ ଦାବି ଓ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁଥିବା ସମୟରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଗିରଫ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି।ଆବେଦନକାରୀ ତାଙ୍କ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷର ଜମିର ମ୍ୟୁଟେସନ୍ ମାମଲାରେ ଅନୁକୂଳ ତଦନ୍ତ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ଦାଖଲ କରି ଆର.ଓ.ଆର. (ଲ୍ୟାଣ୍ଡ ପଟ୍ଟା) ଜାରି କରାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଆବେଦନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଆର୍ ଏଣ୍ଡ୍ ଡି.ଏମ୍. ବିଭାଗର ନିୟମ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ଅନଲାଇନ୍ ଆବେଦନ କରି ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଫିସ୍ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜମା କରିଥିଲେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ଆର.ଆଇ. ଶ୍ରୀ ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍ କୌଣସି କାରଣ ବିନା ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟାକୁ ବିଳମ୍ବ କରୁଥିଲେ। ଏହା ବଦଳରେ ସେ ୨୫,୦୦୦ ଟଙ୍କା ଘୁସ୍ ଦାବି କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହା ଦେଖି ଆବେଦନକାରୀ (ଅଭିଯୋଗକାରୀ) ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରିଥିଲେ।ଏହି ଅଭିଯୋଗ ପରେ ଆଜି ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସର ଏକ ଟିମ୍ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ଶ୍ରୀ ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍ଙ୍କୁ ତାଙ୍କ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାଳୟ କକ୍ଷରେ ଘୁସ୍ ୨୫,୦୦୦ ଟଙ୍କା ନେଉଥିବା ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ଧରିଛି। ସମଗ୍ର ଘୁସ୍ ଟଙ୍କା ୨୫,୦୦୦ ଟଙ୍କା ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତଙ୍କ ପାଖରୁ ଜବତ କରାଯାଇଛି।ଟ୍ରାପ୍ ପରେ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ସୁଶାନ୍ତ ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍, ଆର.ଆଇ.ଙ୍କ ସହ ଜଡ଼ିତ ତିନୋଟି ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅନୁପାତିହୀନ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି (ଡି.ଏ.) ଦୃଷ୍ଟିରୁ ଏକଯୋଗରେ ଚଢ଼ାଉ ଜାରି ରହିଛି।ଏହି ଘଟଣାରେ କୋରାପୁଟ୍ ଭିଜିଲାନ୍ସ ପୋଲିସ୍ ଷ୍ଟେସନ୍ କେସ୍ ନମ୍ବର ୧୬/୨୦୨୬, ଧାରା-୭ ପି.ସି. (ସଂଶୋଧନ) ଆକ୍ଟ, ୨୦୧୮ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ ମାମଲା ରୁଜୁ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ଶ୍ରୀ ମଲ୍ଲିକ୍, ଆର.ଆଇ. ବିରୋଧରେ ତଦନ୍ତ ଚାଲିଛି।ବିସ୍ତୃତ ରିପୋର୍ଟ ପରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହେବ।
